Qabalistic Attributions of the Holy Books of Thelema
Fri May 01, 2009 6:11 am by Smai Heru-Set
Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law.

I thought I'd take this opportunity to display the initial work I've been doing with the Holy Books.

Why?

I figured attributing each chapter of Liber LXV, Liber VII, and L:iber AL vel Legis on the tree could help in designing future meditative and ceremonial practices.

Also, given the fact that the A.'.A.'. requires memorization of a chapter of each books at a given degree, I thought this might bear further study.

Since each chapter of Liber LXV correlates to an element (1=Earth, 2=Air. 3=Water, 4=Fire, 5=Spirit), and the both the Neophyte Ritual of the Golden Dawn and the Grade Signs for the Pentagram Ritual correlate the elements in the same way (Malkuth=Earth, Yesod=Air, Hod=Water, Netzach=Fire, Tiphareth=Spirit) I figured I'd go that way.

A wonderful way to conceptualize the Outer Order of the A.'.A.'., which is called the G.'.D.'.

Then, since the chapters of Liber VII correlate to the planets (1=Mars, 2=Saturn, 3=Jupiter, 4=Sun, 5=Mercury, 6=Luna, 7=Venus) and these attributions are easily found on the tree, behold! The Order R+C!

Now, while Liber AL vel Legis could also be mapped using the concept of Nothing under its Three Forms, I thought it would be more useful to map them on the Supernals for two reasons: there's three Sepira left on the tree, and, since it's already difficult enough to work with such fundamental concepts as it is, I had no desire to confuse myself inordinately!

And, voila! The Order of the S.'.S.'.!

Anyways, here's a simple mapping on the tree. BTW, I've no idea whatsoever how obvious or puzzling this could seem to anyone else. So...fire away!

Love is the law, love under will.
